About Me

I love baking cookies! Enough said. Ever since I was a little girl one of my favorite pastimes was baking cookies for my family. I would love sifting flour, leveling cups of sugar, breaking the eggs and stirring all of the ingredients together. The kitchen was my playground.

I loved making the cookie dough. That was my favorite part of the whole experience. I would dirty every dish, measuring spoon and cup to get my dough just right and then leaving that pile of dishes in the sink for later and for someone else. However, my mom told me if you make the mess, you have to clean it up.  Cleaning up became part of the experience, just not the fun part.

When I got older and moved out of the family home I noticed that my dad had lost some weight. When I asked him what his secret was, he replied, “Having my cookie making daughter move out of the house.” My dad is such a comedian. Cookies can do that to your middles though. Nowadays we try to limit our cookie intake by making cookies for the neighbors instead of just for us.

I still love making cookies. I make them when I am happy, when I am sad or just need something to do. The whole cookie making process relaxes me and gives me joy. Some have even called me the “Cookie Queen.”

I hope you enjoy my favorite cookie recipes. Sure, they are not all my recipes, but with a dash of my secret ingredient they have become some of my trademark cookies.
